After growing up in Massachusetts, Chris studied sculpture and drawing at Colby College in Maine, where he was introduced to metalworking. He completed a Masters of Architecture degree at Syracuse University; his thesis design project synthesized his interests in art and architecture. During his education at Syracuse, he worked as a teacher’s assistant at the School of Architecture, spent a semester studying in Florence, Italy, and was awarded the AIA School Medal for the highest academic standing in his class. Chris moved to Seattle in 1994, where he currently resides and works as a sculptor and architect. He is an associate at Suyama Peterson Deguchi Architects where he has collaborated on the designs of custom residences since 1997 and exhibited his art. Chris’s sculpture is included in many private collections nationally, and he continues to exhibit his work at gallery spaces in Seattle.
